EDUCATION AND LICENSING

Tyler graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Florida State University and earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) and Mental Health Professional (MHP).

EXPERIENCE AND THERAPEUTIC STYLE

In the community mental health setting, Tyler has worked as a therapist with diverse individuals struggling with issues such as trauma/abuse, addiction, depression, and anxiety. He has also worked as a crisis counselor providing short-term counseling and referrals to local human service agencies.

Tyler’s therapeutic approach is primarily informed by relational therapy and psychodynamic perspectives. He also uses research from attachment theory and neurobiology to ensure a holistic and integrative approach to healing by addressing mind, body, and spirit. In therapy, Tyler strives to offer an environment characterized by collaboration, curiosity, and kindness, to aid those striving to find new ways of being in the world and in relationships.
