EXPERIENCE AND THERAPEUTIC STYLE

I have worked in a variety of mental health settings. My early years as a therapist involved providing mental health crisis intervention services, hospital evaluations, and long-term outpatient therapy for a non-profit agency in Seattle. In the subsequent years, I have worked in my own private practice. I have sought additional training in EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy, somatic experiencing, polyvagal interventions, and ongoing education about psychopharmacology.

I approach therapy from a relational, psychodynamic model, meaning the relationship between client and therapist can be a healing vessel in your therapeutic process. Please see my website for specific modalities. My therapeutic approach also draws from my personality, which integrates humor, playfulness, and authenticity.

In my work with clients, I have focused on unresolved grief, life transitions, anxiety, depression, abuse and trauma, spiritual development, mind/body connection, and relationship issues.
