EDUCATION AND LICENSING

Conner completed a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities: English, minoring in Intercultural Studies and Biblical Studies from Biola University. He received his Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. Conner is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

EXPERIENCE AND THERAPEUTIC STYLE

Conner started and ran a non-profit that raised money and awareness for clean water projects all over the world. It was in sitting down with others, both stateside and in the communities abroad he worked, that he saw the power and healing nature of engaging someone’s story and being present with them in both their pain and hope. In pursuing both a calling and a passion, he went on to get his Master’s in Counseling Psychology.

In his clinical internship at Westminster Chapel in Bellevue, Conner was able to expand his clinical experience by working with children, adolescents, and adults from varying backgrounds and diverse mental health needs. Since completing his degree, Conner has continued his work in private practice with individuals around unwanted sexual behaviors, identity issues, exploring family of origin influences in client’s lives, and interpersonal concerns.

Conner believes healing most powerfully occurs within the relational realm and works with individuals in establishing a connection in order to explore not only past wounds, but how they impact one’s present life and relationships. He draws from Psychodynamic and Attachment-based theory and recognizes that the relationship between client and therapist must be safe, honest, and trustworthy. He takes active steps to monitor the process with clients to maintain the kind of relationship that allows and encourages healing.
