EDUCATION AND LICENSING

I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Washington and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of California.

EXPERIENCE AND THERAPEUTIC STYLE

A lot of what I see in my practice looks like competence from the outside and loneliness from the inside. Maybe you do well in your career but struggle to connect at home and with friends. Or intimacy in your relationship has quietly become one more thing to manage, and you're carrying shame about sex, faith, or family that you've never said out loud to anyone. We don't want to just manage that shame. We get to work on it, and on the trauma and stories of hurt that taught you connection was conditional or unsafe. I work with individuals and couples on attachment, trauma, intimacy, sexual and religious shame, identity, and grief.

My approach is attachment-based and trauma-informed. I'm EMDR-trained, completing a certification in sex therapy, and I often integrate parts work, ACT, Gottman, and Jungian psychology. In practice this means going after the root rather than the symptom, processing old memories that still shape how you relate to yourself and the people closest to you.

Finding a therapist is its own kind of vulnerable, especially when the things you most want to work on are the parts you've never told anyone about. I enjoy going on hikes and long walks with my family and dog, Rooney. I enjoy camping, reading, and exploring new places with friends and family.
