Experience and Therapeutic Style
Therapy is like the Psalms; it’s an honest process of voicing hopes and fears. Eric works at the intersection of faith and psychotherapy to create a space where both soul and mind can be present. He is informed by object relations, relational, and attachment psychologies.
Eric has worked with Westminster Chapel in Bellevue as a counseling intern; as a therapist with the Union Gospel Mission’s Recovery Program, in outreach to homeless male prostitutes with Emmaus Ministry in Chicago; and has worked with a number of other churches, camps and parachurch ministries in the Seattle, Sacramento, and Chicago areas.
Eric currently works as a Practicum Facilitator for The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology working with Master’s degree candidates training to become therapists and pastors. In addition to Marysville, he also has an office in the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle.
